Farmers and rural communities rely on our support. As the Head of Volunteer Support and Services, you will lead our efforts to provide critical services, ensuring farmers receive the help they need during challenging times.
The role involves overseeing our core support services, supervising case work, and developing our Helpline. You will work closely with staff members and volunteers to standardise processes and procedures, promoting excellence across our organisation.
You will be responsible for managing Regional Support Officers (RSOs) in England, FCN volunteers, and our core support services. This includes building and supporting local volunteer groups, sharing knowledge, and best practices within the team.
Your duties will include:
- Oversight of management for RSOs, volunteers, and support services
- Developing and implementing new administrative systems
- Providing training and development opportunities for volunteers
- Supporting the Chief Executive Officer in defining key business processes
We are looking for someone with experience in project management, staff management, and volunteer management. You should have excellent communication and relationship-building skills, as well as strong organisational abilities. A background in farming or knowledge of the farming community is desirable but not essential.
This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires significant travel and occasional out-of-hours work. We offer a competitive salary of $68,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
