**Job summary**:
We’re responsible for Land Transaction Tax and Landfill Disposals Tax. Our work raises revenue to support public services, like the NHS and schools, in communities across Wales. But that’s not all, we're also involved with and support future tax design for Wales.

**Job description**:
You’ll play an important role in developing our external and internal channels to deliver ‘Our Approach’. This means supporting people to pay the right amount of tax at the right time.

You’ll be a self-starter, with strong influencing skills and a team player. As a key contact for internal and external stakeholders you’ll be comfortable working with others.

By actively improving the digital content of the WRA website you’ll use your editing skills to draft and edit content to help users complete their goal.

You’ll work closely with our multi-disciplinary teams and external organisations to gather content and technical requirements. You’ll advise them while balancing the needs of the business and external users.

And you’ll bring skills and experience in:

- explaining content decisions
- working collaboratively
- working independently
- independently identifying user issues and needs
- content administration and publishing processes
- content editing and writing to good practice standards

With an ability to work at pace you’ll also support on crisis communications with guidance from senior communications colleagues.

**Person specification**:
You’ll be key to delivering our digital content approach by a clear focus on a user centric experience.

Most importantly, you’ll help users to find out what they need to know. And do what they need to do, as simply and as quickly as possible by:

- designing and managing effective user journeys, logical navigation across a wide content library to approved digital standards
- confidently championing and influencing high-quality content
- providing skilled content editing and design, excellent attention to detail, ability to write simply and clearly
- Sourcing and improving complex content to make it accessible to users
- training and advising on content writing, user centred content, tone of voice and brand style guide across a range of digital channels and operational communications
- meeting accessibility regulations across GOV.WALES and our intranet, main contact for web accessibility audits
- collaborating with the wider Welsh Government Digital team to support our presence on GOV.WALES
- managing the publication of our corporate and statistical reports to support the WRA’s role as an official statistics provider
- working with bilingual content and bilingual platforms to deliver our Welsh Language strategy. You’ll be supported by colleagues who are Welsh speakers and have access to translation services
