To order and stow stock at ward/department level, using bar code systems where materials management and theatres solutions have been established for agreed stocked product lines. Top-up of wards and theatres to be carried out in accordance with pre-determined schedule. Timely receipt of orders placed forward top-up on Trust inventory system. To replenish, receipt, issue and stow stock using Genesis system.

To accept & receipt deliveries into the Estover Distribution centre To print off warehouse daily picking lists. To print off daily ward picking lists. Support Clinical teams to deliver the best patient care. Manage stock levels as agreed with clinical team(s) and contractual arrangements.

To undertake stock audits and cycle counts following Standard Operation Procedures (SOP). To stow stock in line with Trust FIFO guidelines. To assist the Materials Management Supervisor in the implementation of materials management solutions, at ward/department level as required for new location. To include the setting of stock levels as appropriate.

To expedite outstanding orders as required. To conduct regular eyeball reviews of stock supplied to wards, amend stocks as necessary and inform Senior Supply Chain Supervisor. To participate in the introduction of improved working procedures to establish and maintain total stock management. To liaise with appropriate ward and departmental staff regarding storage and distribution of stock within the unit.

To advise the Supply Chain Manager of any approaches made by supplier representatives. To forward all information to relevant category buyer, relating to possible product/price/procedure changes as appropriate. To respond to customer enquiries, whether in person, by telephone, or electronic means, in accordance with laid down procedure. To assist with the maintenance of records and provision of statistical information as required.

To participate in the introduction of improved working procedures to establish and maintain total quality standards to agreed levels. To operate office machinery and equipment provided as appropriate to task allocated. To ensure delivery equipment is used correctly and safely, when, and where appropriate and necessary. To be responsible for ones own personal Health and Safety, as the post involves the manual handling of possibly heavy items.

To maintain all working areas in a clean, tidy, and safe condition. To report all faults, errors, and exceptions to line management as appropriate. To maintain good working relationships with colleagues, staff, and delivery drivers. To undertake any duties commensurate with position, and as directed by any Supply Chain Supervisor or Supply Chain Manager.

As required, and directed by the Goods Inward Supervisor, deliver own cages to wards for stowing of goods On completion of stowing, all cages to be returned to level 2 in a timely fashion. Carry out planned maintenance on Trust owned cages.
