**My client, a leading Maintenance company based in Watford are currently seeking a Business Development Executive to join their team on a full time and permanent basis with the opportunity to progress all the way through to a Sales Manager in thefuture.**

This role will also have a bonus structure (TBC) in place based on Sales and Renewals. This role is full time, permanent and office based (no hybrid working with this particular role).
- Able to claim milage if going to meeting
- 20 days holiday (increasing up to 25)
- Pension after probation
- Mobile and laptop
The intention is to give a fresh and hungry individual the opportunity to prove themselves and become established within sales. Starting with around 6 months of training, gentle sales (renewals, lapsed business, lead generation and joint meetings), before goingout on their own.
Experience within construction or HVAC would be beneficial but not essential. The right attitude is key. They do not need a sales background.
Roles and responsibilities
Contract renewals
- Reviewing contracts 3 months before expiration and sending renewal quotes ensuring they are profitable for the business.
Meeting existing and potential clients and building positive relationships (site visits and external meetings required)
Contacting lapsed business to find out why this was lost and generate another opportunity
Farming service leads utilising LinkedIn, mailshots etc
- Main focus is on service leads however there would also be an incentive for leads sent to other areas of the group (once won)
Preparing commercially viable quotes and converting these into orders
Setting up new contracts and liaising with the Service team to ensure excellent delivery
Liaising with colleagues to develop sales and marketing strategies
Updating forecast documents
Preparing sales presentations and participating in sales meetings
Producing reports for management
- A drive to seek new business
- Self-starter with a hunter attitude
- Excellent telephone skills
- Ability to prospect and farm own leads
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Good IT skills
- Initiative and strong decision-making skills

- Dynamic, tenacious, articulate and resilient
- Driving licence required
