**Health & Safety Officer**
Our client, a leading manufacturer of construction products are in search of an experienced **Health & Safety Officer** to join their highly established team in Co. Fermanagh.
Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 5.30pm & Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and guidance
- Writing internal health and safety policies/ strategies and ensuring that these are adhered to
- Drawing-up safe operational procedures
- Undertaking risk assessments and identifying any potential hazards to reduce risks
- Planning safe working practices and ensuring that equipment is safe and correctly installed to limit potential risks
- Planning and providing health and safety training courses for employees and managers
- Investigating/ recording incidents, accidents, complaints, and cases of ill health
- Liaising with relevant authorities
- Organising/ attending health and safety meetings
- Making regular site inspections
- Writing reports
- A relevant Health & Safety qualification
- Working knowledge of ISO 45001 standards
- Strong MS Word and Excel knowledge
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
