**The Role**

The main purpose of a Vospers Estimator is to carry out estimations on customer vehicles in a professional, skilled, efficient and safe manner, ensuring the highest standard of customer satisfaction.

**Key Responsibilities & Accountability**
- Promptly identify the damage on the vehicle
- Detail estimate instructions in a clear and simplistic manner, and the most proficient method to complete the required work in line with Thatcham, Manufacturers specified repair methods data or by following the companies process if no manufacturer data is available.
- Enter all estimates accurately onto system in line with Company and Department procedures.
- When required, discuss with technicians the work that needs to be carried out to try ensure the work is completed first time.
- Ensure all necessary supplementary estimates are submitted and can be substantiated with the aid of images when appropriate.
- Plan work professionally and resourcefully to ensure vehicles are ready in line with customer and department requirements.
- Sign off work as it is completed and pass to supervisor for quality check.
- Estimates to maximise company revenue while ensuring them to be fair, reasonable and within the terms of the contract.
- Ensure all new equipment or parts that are required have been ordered, reconciled and authorised by a Supervisor or Management.
- Store all equipment and tools in line with department safety requirements.
- Report any items found to be damaged to the Supervisor or Controller.
- Maintain knowledge of technological developments through attending courses as required by the Manager. Become expert, and maintain up to date knowledge of manual, computerised and video estimating systems.
- Communicate with customers and provide additional estimates for any unrelated accident damage.

**Hours**

Monday to Friday with the possibility of Saturday on a rota
