At Paul Lavery Support, We are currently looking for experienced Self Employed Young Person Mentors to join our agency. We are a great team, we work mostly within Hertfordshire, £20-£30 per hour. You must have a Full UK Driving Licence, Enhanced DBS on the update service (this can be arranged) and Current Safeguarding and First Aid Certificates.

**About What We Do**:
**The mentor's role is to support their mentees by**: - Empowering them to resolve current issues and to develop coping strategies for the future. - Provide a model for a healthy, trusting relationship through clear communication and setting appropriate boundaries. - Acknowledging their strengths, talents and gifts and encouraging them to find ways to use them. - Be an active listener and offer support and encouragement where appropriate. -Engage in activities of interest. - Support, making positive choices in life and to become more reflective. (This list is not exhaustive).

**Qualifications / Documentation**: Full UK driver's licence and business car insurance with break down cover. Valid MOT. - Completed background check and above-mentioned training.

**Time Commitment**:As an agency mentor this will be down to your own availability (our work can be any day and time of day).

**Site**: In The Community, in a young person's home environment, school sites, care homes, hospitals, and sports environments are just an example.

Every colleague in the agency must have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service. (if you do not have one, this can be arranged)

Every colleague in the agency must have an up to date and appropriate First aid certificate. (Various websites and centres offer this training at a reasonable cost)

Every colleague in the agency must have up to date and appropriate personal insurance (Recommendations available)

Every colleague in the agency must have an up-to-date child protection policy to demonstrate safe working practices. (Draft CP policy can be offered on request).

Every colleague will complete required training courses in accordance with the needs of our young people.
