We are recruiting a fulltime nursery practitioner required to work 4 full days and a part time to work 3 full days, who must hold a level 3 or above qualification in childcare to join our team at The Wendy House Day Nursery.

Our nursery is a private run setting offering a homely atmosphere, along with friendly qualified staff with a family feel to us. We are rated 'Good' with our most recent Ofsted Inspection. The nursery is equipped with stimulating equipment and facilities. We are open Monday-Friday, 50 weeks of the year from 7.30am-6:00pm. We are closed bank holidays and two weeks at Christmas.

We are looking for someone for a part time position two to three days a week as well as a Full-time position who can work four full days - 0730-1800 opening times.

If you are successful, your jobs and role will involve;
- Assisting in the day to day running of the rooms and the children activities.
- Making sure you play and interact with the children to engage their attention and help to promote their development.
- Plan on a daily basis fun and interesting activities helping to incorporate all areas of the curriculum and give those children life experiences ready for their next steps in their development.
- Being able to monitor your key children and know each child and where they are at. Being able to track and input observations on our Tapestry development tool (Child Development Tracking Tool). Knowledge would be useful in this area but not a necessity.
- To ensure the safety and well being of the children at all times and have safeguarding training regularly.
- Provide a positive role model to all children.
- To ensure daily cleaning of the toys, equipment and facilities are carried out with other team members. To ensure the hygiene and welfare of the children.
- Maintain at all times; a high standard of professional conduct and a child centred approach to the care provided in accordance with the nursery policies, procedures, current legislation, the EYFS, registration requirements and any other guidelines issued by DFE.

What is also required;
- You must have a happy disposition like 'Mary Poppins' and come into work to spread smiles and warmth to the children.
- You must be willing to join in with the children's role-play; whether it be making endless cups of pretend tea or being a client at a hairdressers and having your hair combed numerous times over by each child.
- You must be able to sing most of the day (singing in tune is not necessary) and show the ability to read a story with enthusiasm, engaging a group of intrigued children.
- You must be able to have a caring and lovable personality but also be patient.
- Lastly, you must be able to work as part of a team, communicate and work together to make the day fun and interesting for all that are there. Being able to laugh, smile and have fun is a definite necessity.
