Day and Night Care Assistants

NYMS Services have a fantastic opportunity for **Day and Night Care Assistants **for a Care Home in Glossop. We have shifts available on a full time and part time basis.

**Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications**

**Essential**:

- Genuine interest in providing care and support to vulnerable residents.
- Team player
- Satisfactory DBS Check, to include SOVA list.
- Willingness to participate in Training Programme

**Desired**:

- Previous experience of working in a similar environment.
- NVQ or Health & Social Care Course level 2.

**Key Tasks**:

- To provide good quality care with regards to all aspects of daily living; physical, emotional spiritual.
- To support and enable residents to maintain skills and personal interests whilst delivering person-centred care unique to each individual.
- To provide supervision, ensuring residents retain their comfort and dignity.
- To work as part of a team.
- Assist residents who have limited mobility, or physical, making the best use of aids provided.
- To provide person centered support to meet individual needs i.e. behaviour management.
- Assist in the promotion of continence.
- To update daily records as outlined in the procedures.
- Practice maximum integrity in all dealings with residents personal and financial affairs.
- Prompt report on well-being of residents.
- Escort residents travelling to and from the Home e.g. on social outings, hospital visits.
- Assist residents at meal times.
- To make and change beds, ensuring that rooms are clean, tidy and commodes are empty.
