**Job Details**

We have a permanent Assistant Cook vacancy at Fife House, Glenrothes **, **working 30 hours per week Monday to Friday on a 52-week contract.

Duties within this establishment include preparation of food and beverages and the organisation of the service of food.

Duties may include serving of meals, general kitchen and dining room duties (for example washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment and tables), and cleaning of the kitchen, its surround and equipment.

Completion of basic bookwork may be required including electronic returns.

You will earn a competitive salary of £22,525.71pro-rata and have access to a range of benefits, including:

- We pay the Scottish Local Government Living Wage of £12.00 per hour, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.

This work is about providing customer service, in a busy café environment. Ensuring staff and visitors are catered for accordingly - this involves preparing and serving meals, snacks and beverages to clients and recording any payments.

All on the job training is given for current Fife Council systems in use.

Do you have Catering Experience or a Qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent?

Ability to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a Team.
