Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will enable the person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.

About the employer:
Our client is a 21-year-old disabled female with cerebral palsy, Hydrocephalous and Epilepsy who is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to provide support with all aspects of daily living for 30 hours per week. Our client suffers with mobility difficulties and requires 100% supervision.

Main duties:
**Social duties**
- keep in touch and socialise with family and friends.
- attend medical appointments if required.
- attend social clubs like Swimming, Disco, Multi-sports & crafts.

**Personal care**: supporting the individual with all aspects of daily personal care. Support to administer medication.

**Domestic duties**: support cooking and serving nutritious meals and snacks.

These duties may vary from day-to-day.

- **Specific requirements**: Previous experience of working with young disabled adults.
- **Other**: due to the nature of this role including medical & personal care the potential employer will be considering female applicants only.

Hours of work: 30 hours per week - 8 hours Monday & Tuesday and 7 hours Wednesday & Thursday. Rate of pay: £10.90 per hourSkills, qualifications, and experience

**Essential**:

- driving licence
- car and appropriate insurance
- PVG Registered
- Physically active and able
- Previous care experience
- Able to administer emergency Epilepsy medication - Midazolam.
- confidentiality
- good at building relationships

**Preferred**:

- good communicator
- a good listener
- ability to support people with complex care needs.

**Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.**

**This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.90 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
