We currently have an exciting opportunity for a temporary, part-time Receptionist to join our experienced team at our Galashiels surgery to provide cover for maternity leave.

At Galedin we pride ourselves on our client care, and in this role your strong interpersonal skills will be key to developing and maintaining our client relationships.

Your principal areas of responsibility will be to provide a first-class friendly and efficient service whilst welcoming clients, dealing with queries and booking appointments (face to face and by telephone), and taking and recording payments.

Previous experience of working in a veterinary or agricultural environment will be beneficial, although it is not essential as training will be provided. What is essential, however, is your ability to demonstrate an excellent track record in the delivery of customer service to a very high standard.

In addition to the above, you must be computer literate, numerate, and possess excellent time management skills

Hours of work are expected to be 27 hours per week, although a flexible approach is desirable to provide cover for any planned holidays or unplanned absence.

Expected working pattern: Tuesday 8am - 6pm, Wednesday 8am - 6pm, Thursday 8am - 6pm.
The role fulfils a Saturday morning rota from 8am - 12pm on a rotational basis 1 in 3 basis.
