**The role**

We have an exciting new role within our neighbourhoods team. The successful applicant will be responsible for working with internal and external stakeholders to identify customers housing needs as part of a decant programme.

The focus is on a high quality and customer focused service in response to the planned maintenance programme, ensuring customer needs and preferences are considered at the heart of the temporary decant or permanent rehousing options.

It has the following main responsibilities;
- Act as a liaison between Selwood, customers, and other relevant stakeholders, fostering positive relationships and providing excellent customer service
- To take a lead role as a member of the Project Team.
- To visit customers to undertake the initial housing needs assessment, to resolve questions or explore suitable rehousing options.
- Develop and maintain good levels of communication and working relationships with customers, the Project Team, partner agencies and all stakeholders.
- To provide support for customer during the decant or rehousing process around removals and reconnections i.e., services, phones, utilities and the mail.
- Ensure customers with vulnerabilities and support needs are referred to partner agencies during the assessment for decant and rehousing options.

**What we need**

For this role you’ll need to have the following skills and experience.
- Proven experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in social housing or community development.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to empathise, listen, and engage effectively with a diverse range of people.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of social housing policies, tenancy management, and relevant regulations is an advantage.
- Conflict resolution and mediation skills to handle challenging situations with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Familiarity with the tenancy enforcement action and attendance at Court is desirable.
- Familiarity with local support services and community resources is desirable.
- Proficiency in using computer software and databases for documentation and record-keeping.
