The role of the 3rd Line Support Manager would include overseeing all IT related operations within the business, support an IT team and to help bring the business forward through its IT business strategy. Salary £40000 - £50000

Responsibilities include:

- Administer and maintain workstations, servers, BYOD, MDM, O365, SaaS & on prem Applications, vMware, Veeam, AWS, etc.
- Provide expertise on windows services such as DNS, DHCP, GPO, PowerShell, Scripting, Identity Management, AAD or Hybrid environment management.
- Provide support with creating and modifying SQL Server based queries and company reports.
- Provide support with modifying and maintaining the company Java Based Real Time Pricing system.
- Participate in security related exercises, such as patching, vulnerability remediation, security audit remediation tasks and cooperate with the Cyber Security team to ensure all actions are performed in a timely and compliant manner.
- Understand the concepts and have strong experience of O365 and on Prem environments, Group policies, user and device management.
- Create and maintain detailed professional documentation around processes and procedures.
- Manage scheduled and on demand scripts, patching workflow, but also monitoring, administration, and remote support.
- Administer and maintain the joiners / movers / leavers process in a timely and secure way.
- Build and distribute company hardware while maintaining inventory and asset registers.
- Create and manage support requests to 3rd party vendors when required and follow to resolution.
- Maintaining the health of the internal server infrastructure
- To provide up to third line support for all networking components and infrastructure
- To provide up to third line support for all PC and server hardware, storage, virtual servers and all server software for the business
- To provide support and maintenance for IP telephony, integrating with LAN infrastructure or where necessary managing telephone systems in line with office requirements
- Ensuring IT Software/Hardware assets are properly documented.
- Ensuring regular backup procedures and disaster recovery policies are maintained and reviewed.

Ideally you will need to have the following skills and experience:

- Experience in a similar role (3rd Line Support or higher)
- Experience with desktop and server operating systems, O365, SaaS, MDM etc.
- Working understanding of Exchange, Microsoft 365, basic networking, Virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V), Active Directory administration, Group Policy and design
- Solid understanding of SQL Server Administration, Database Design, TSQL, Stored Procedures/Triggers, SQL Server
- Experience or a Working Understanding of coding languages and concepts such as: Java, JavaScript, PHP
- Experience with VMware virtual servers and vCenter Server
- Server and Networking Infrastructure
- NAS/SAN systems, RAIDs, JBODs, iSCSI, etc.
- Experience with enterprise backup systems such as Veeam
- Working understanding of on-premises or cloud-based phone systems and agent contact centres.
- Scripting (Batch, PowerShell, etc.)
- Name Service (Wins), DHCP, Routing, Subnets, VPNs, Sockets, the OSI model, TCP and UDP
- Knowledge of security related concepts, frameworks, and tooling
- Network concepts such as Firewalls, Routers, Switches / Security technologies, DNS

**It would greatly benefit this role if you also had experience in the following**:

- Web hosting technologies such as AWS, IIS, Apache
- Linux server administration
- Experience writing SQL Database Queries and generating reports and datasets using a SQL Database.
