**Business Development Executive**

**£35-38K per annum, plus car, bonus (approx. £20K) and other benefits**

**Home and field based - Midlands and North West**

You will join a growing team, creating new business opportunities via specification and interaction with non-direct customers. You will become a trusted advisor to this client base.

As a Business Development Executive, you are accountable for filling the project pipeline, lead generation, and problem/solution proposals.

You will use exemplary communications skills to build relationships with our indirect customers, consultants, and end users through a mix of Lunch and Learns, CPD’s, and Introductions. From these relationships, you will extract sales and project opportunitiesto develop into growth.

**You must have experience within fire systems or fire design** ideally within a previous business development, sales exec, sales support, customer support or engineer role but have a desire to do a 360 sales role. You will receive excellent support andtraining and there is a defined career path for progression within the organisation. Lead sources are provided through various systems but you will be expected to work with raw data to help get in front of people to create sales opportunities.

**Main Duties**
- Help us understand the market in the UK and assist the internal team in developing our solutions in response to problems identified.
- Identify business opportunities to generate revenue and help the business grow.
- Strategic planning and positioning in the market, enhancing our position and reputation.
- Be technically literate with the ability to become an expert.
- Communicate and coordinate with the team leads on how solutions can be tailored, or products designed to meet market trends.
- Deliver awareness to the market of how our products and systems can solve problems faced in the market.
- Provide education to interim users and end users of our products and systems to solve current pains.
- Nurture relationships with leads generated via inbound marketing techniques to develop solutions which are specified within building design documentation.
- Communicate market insights to the business: Changes in regulation, Changes in the market environment
- Be able to understand the stages of the project, the scope of work and how/when is the optimal time to target the project.
- Prospect profiling skills to understand the end users’ motivations.
- Specification development skills.
- Work with account managers to onboard leads and convert projects into sales via our partner network.
- Liaising with professional bodies, regulation tracking.
- Active input and participation in the production of relevant marketing material and content and planning of market reach strategies.
- Functional understanding of CRM capabilities

**Skills and Knowledge**
- Business development and project sales experience
- Fire Alarm system design or installation knowledge
- Relates well to all personality types inside and outside the organisation, multi-culturally; builds appropriate rapport and uses diplomacy and tact
- Solid verbal and written presentation, communications, and influencing skills
- Must possess solid judgement and ability to work autonomously from established goals and strategic direction; Must be able to cope with ambiguity
- Strong problem solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in a complex matrix environment to create buy-in
