- XX090323We are seeking an experienced individual to join our Student Services Directorate leadership team as **Head of Student Support**. You will contribute to the development of the Directorate vision, strategy and action plans and work with internal and external stakeholders and networks to champion a culture of continuous improvement informed by best practice and up to date knowledge of policy and regulatory compliance frameworks.

You will have the knowledge and experience to undertake the role of institutional Lead Operational Safeguarding and Prevent Officer with responsibility for the University’s operational safeguarding processes ensuring that potential risks relating to non-compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements are brought to the attention of the University and measures put in place to mitigate or remove these risks.

You will provide leadership and day to day operational management of the various teams comprising Student Support, ensuring a high quality, coordinated, integrated and student-focused approach to the delivery of services; developing strategies for the future development of services in line with best practice and developments in the sector, and ensuring that plans are in place to evaluate service and staff performance and enhance overall student satisfaction.

You will be committed to your own professional development and that of others, able to inspire and motivate teams to meet targets and encourage a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement to deliver the University and Directorate’s strategic plans.

The Directorate comprises: Student Accommodation Services, Careers and Employability Services, Disability Services, Student Engagement, Library Services, including Academic Skills, Mental Health and Wellbeing, Money Advice, Sport and Recreation, and delivers services to students studying at all of our campuses as well as those students who study remotely.
