We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our reputable housing association in Maidenhead. As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the appearance of our housing association's properties and communal areas. Your work will contribute to creating safe, attractive, and well-maintained environments for our residents.

Job Responsibilities:

- Grounds Maintenance: Perform a range of general grounds maintenance duties, including grass cutting, hedge trimming, weeding, pruning, leaf clearing, litter picking, and general gardening tasks. Ensure that the grounds are kept neat, tidy, and presentable at all times.
- Planting and Landscaping: Assist in planting and maintaining flowers, shrubs, and trees in communal areas to enhance the visual appeal of the housing association properties. Participate in landscaping projects as directed by the supervisor.
- Health and Safety: Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Report any hazards or incidents promptly to the supervisor. Adhere to the housing association's policies and procedures.
- Equipment and Tools: Operate and maintain grounds maintenance equipment, such as lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and hand tools. Ensure that all equipment is used safely, and any defects or malfunctions are reported promptly.
- Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with the maintenance team and other colleagues to coordinate work activities, share information, and provide assistance when required. Communicate effectively with residents, responding to queries and concerns courteously and professionally.
- Basic DBS Check: Possess a basic DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) to ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures and maintain the safety and security of our residents.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work activities, including time spent on tasks, materials used, and any issues encountered. Complete necessary paperwork and reports as required by the housing association
