After School Club Leader
We are looking for a club leader to join our exciting after-school baking club called Bake With Rana. With patience, energy and enthusiasm you will be working with children (ages 6-11) to guide them through baking fun recipes. This role is perfect if you enjoy working with children and share a love of baking or ideal for those studying teacher training courses and want experience working with children. Baking experience is not essential as full training will be given.
The clubs run for one hour 15 minutes after school, Monday to Friday, in term-time only. The total time needed for each session is 2 hours including prep, set-up, clear-up and wash-up. We pay £36 per session.
We provide you with all the ingredients and lesson plans at the beginning of the term (packaging and equipment are kept in the schools). You will set up the teaching kitchen in your chosen school before the children arrive, guide them through the recipes and ensure they are safely returned to their parents/carers at the end of each session.
Our classes are anything but dull. They are fun, engaging, sometimes messy and ultimately very rewarding. Running the club is so much fun, and it's incredibly gratifying to see the children grow in both confidence and skill. We also have opportunities for additional work (parties and holiday camps) for committed, passionate staff.
**Main Responsibilities** - You will be responsible for leading the sessions after school (Monday-Friday) during term-time. Start times for classes range from 3.15 to 3.30pm, depending on the school. You will arrive at the school 30 minutes before the club starts to set up the equipment and prep the ingredients. After the session, the area has to be cleaned up and left neat and tidy.
**Main Requirements** - Reliable individuals that will commit to at least a term’s work. People who enjoy working with children and love baking.
