**Job Description: Hotel Services Lead**
**Reporting to: Registered Manager**
**Main Responsibilities**
**Purpose of Role**
To support and deliver a first class experience for our residents. Assist in the provision of a clean, hygienic and homely environment.
Maintain a high standard of appearance within the home which will contribute to the quality of care and lifestyle afforded to each resident. This is particularly applicable to each client’s privacy and dignity and in respect of each client’s personal possessions.
Ensure that infection control procedures are adhered to and a focus of all of your activities.
Assist with the laundry and movement of laundered items to and from the residents rooms.
Deal with waste items as specified safely and according to policy. Complying with CoSHH and health & safety policies for the safety of staff, residents and visitors.
As a colleague we expect you to work with your team and treat those you work with and care for equally and fairly, respecting their views and opinions.
**Care**
We will help with the completion of all daily tasks, as specified by routine or by direction from a senior member of the team
We will always maintain our knowledge of CoSHH and health and safety
We will ensure that the highest possible level of hygiene is always maintained in the home. Recording where necessary the information acquired
We will report for duty on time and be correctly attired for our working day
We will play an active part in supporting the care staff with any concerns noted about the welfare of our residents as soon as they are identified
We will ensure that we treat all residents and their belongings with respect
We will share with a manager immediately any concerns that we observe or are aware of that may impact on the health, wellbeing and safeguarding of our residents
We will engage in learning of the diagnosis and support our residents need to assist with our interaction with them
**Process**
We will work efficiently and conscientiously to complete all tasks within the agreed timescale
We will answer the door and telephone appropriately. Respond accordingly, and pass on messages promptly
We will clean all allocated rooms including furniture, fittings, fabric, carpets and equipment to the required standard
We will undertake scheduled or adhoc deep cleaning as specified
We will complete laundering of clothing or items to the specification of company policy, paying attention to the garment care labels to minimise clothing damage wherever possible
We will dispose of waste in line with company policy ensuring it is in the correct areas. Checking for signs of pests and reporting to management if anything of concern is observed
We will keep all storage areas tidy at all times and locked when not present
We will ensure that all cleaning supplies are replenished prior to completion of shift
We will ensure that any products are stored in the correct containers and where diluted or decanted are within CoSHH guidelines
We will ensure that no cleaning items / chemicals are left unattended at any time
We will Report any malfunction of equipment or fittings that require maintenance or cannot be kept to standard through normal cleaning procedures

We will assist in the framework of planned and adhoc social activities by helping with the cleaing provision for this

We will promote equality for all residents, treating everyone fairly and respecting their views & opinions
We will wear our uniform and present ourselves in a professional manner, adhering to standards of policy
We will maintain personal standards of hygiene and promote universal precautions to limit cross infection
We will ensure that all equipment is clean and well maintained, highlighting concerns if present
We will act with integrity and be committed to the rights of our residents, including those of privacy, dignity and independence
We will control any unconscious prejudice to anyone we help or work with
We will remain focused during any periods of change or uncertainty
We will participate in team meetings and continuous improvement with our residents being the focus of our energies
We will ensure that the presentation of the home is maintained to platinum standard and strive to achieve this in all aspects of the role
