**Welcome to Foxes Academy, a specialist college and training hotel for young people with learning disabilities, situated in the friendly seaside town of Minehead. Foxes is a very special place.**

**The main purpose of the role**:
As one of our bank Multi-skilled hotel tutor’s, you will be required to prepare, direct and lead Learning Support Practitioners (LSP) within vocational sessions and actively engage with the students. You will deliver and evaluate inspiring, engaging and individualised sessions of the highest quality that challenge and stretch ever student working in Foxes Hotel.

You will be expected to always promote a professional attitude and approach with the LSP’s and students, ensuring that LSPs contribute throughout the session including session evaluation and student assessments.

**Key duties**:

- Deliver professional, inspiring, and engaging sessions of the highest quality that challenge and stretch every student, and in which all students are motivated and engaged throughout. We expect every tutor to be fully engaged in the session without exception.
- Ensure that all students receive professional, timely and effective feedback, with appropriate strategies (next steps) to improve their performance, and that such discussions are evidenced through effective and professional record keeping (Evaluations, Tutorials, Reviews).
- Prepare, direct and lead Learning Support Practitioners (LSP) within your session, and to actively always promote a professional attitude and approach with the LSP. Ensure that LSP throughout the session including feedback, session evaluations and student assessments.
- All tutors must be familiar with, and actively use the principles of RARPA (Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement).
- Ensure that all Risk Assessments are read, understood and effectively carried out, recorded appropriately (including on session plans) and used to ensure the highest standards of student and staff welfare, health and safety.

Duties will vary, you must expect to diversify and lend a hand wherever is required.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Level 2 in English & Maths
- City and Guilds Hospitality and Catering Level 2 or equivalent (Level 3 desirable)
- Level 4 certificate in Education, equivalent or higher.
- Experience of working in a hospitality catering setting.
- Experience in vocational education (desirable).
- Experience of working in a team setting.
- Food Hygiene certificate (desirable).
- Allergens knowledge (necessary).
- Experience of working with young vulnerable adults or children (desirable).
- Knowledge of assessing skills and knowledge using RARPA and/or accredited qualifications
- The skills to confidently lead students and LSPs within vocational training
