Plant Assurance Co-Ordinator (POS) - Coatbridge

**Your tasks**:

- The Plant Assurance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring involvement in the planning, correct resourcing, planning of lifting operations, ALO arrangements, and the methods of communication to enable safe OTP Operations. The documentation of a POS Plan will document this and other areas within this document.
- Responsible for ensuring the methods of communication are available and appropriate members of the workforce understand their use.
- Responsible for observing compliance with the safety critical communications protocol during the delivery of works.
- Responsible for checking the EAC of each item of OTP and understand any limitations before any on tracking activity takes place.
- Advising the SWL2/ES and gain confirmation that the RRAP is as specified in the OTP Plan.
- During the work, the Plant Assurance Coordinator must monitor that OTP is being used for the purposes it is designed.
- Responsible for ensuring the MC/CC has completed their check sheet duties and observing the operations being carried out are compliant.
- The Plant Assurance Coordinator must ensure that lift plans are available and understood by Crane Controllers and in addition ensure all OTP fitted safety devices are always switched on through observation of the works.
- Ensuring that OTP on site do not use attachments which are not included on the EAC or for which the MC/CC is not competent.
- Observe the travelling and work movements of OTP and check that all movements are made in a compliant manner in terms of speed, site conditions etc.
- Ensure that all ALO activities are carried out to a plan and any deviation is acted upon through an onsite risk assessment and escalation, as necessary.
- Monitor exclusion zones set up by MC/CC personnel and are being adhered to by those on site.
- Responsible for ensuring the emergency arrangements for OTP failure and/or emergency recovery of personnel is documented, and facilities provided should they be required.
- Liaise with the SWL2/ES where non-compliant and address the issues in a timely manner.

**Your profile**:

- Hold PTS Competence
- Has achieved and acceptable rating in an OTP Rep. Non-Technical Skills Assessment.
- Be an employee of the company (Primary sponsor)
- Have an understanding of the requirements of ALO (Adjacent Line Open) and must have received the ALO Detailed Briefing
- Experience within the railway industry
- IT Literate
- Experience in POS and plant operations
- Have a full UK driving licence
