**Salary**:£21,029.27 per annum (pro-rata for part-time staff)

**Location**:Neath Port Talbot

**Contract/Hours**:Permanent - Part-time - 12 hours per week (some flexibility with total hours and potential Saturday working as and when required)

**A bit about the role**

Neath Port Talbot Community Short Breaks provides support to children and young people aged between 0-18 years old with disabilities. Our sessions are aimed at providing a fun and safe environment, whilst working towards individual targets/achievements. This includes support to access community-based activities in small groups, activities at the project base or caring for a child in their own home (domiciliary care). We work in conjunction with our local authorities to provide an outcome focused service to children and young people.

**How you'll help to create brighter futures**
- Being responsible for the transportation of families and / or service users to and from the service, complying with road regulations and legal requirements.
- Completing and processing the mileage log and diesel record as required,
- Ensuring the vehicle maintains a clean and presentable appearance to reflect positively on the service and Action for Children.
- Reporting any incidents that impact on the health, safety and wellbeing of staff and service users

**Let's talk about you**
- D1 driving licence/ MIDAS car MPV
- Previous experience would be advantageous but not essential
- A flexible approach in working hours to meet the needs of the service
- Commitment to safeguarding children and young people.
- Good communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to be part of a team and multi-agency working.
