**We are looking to recruit passionate Relief Support Workers to join our dedicated team of Support Workers in the Rochdale Area.**
**What does a Relief Support Worker do?**
As a Relief Support Worker you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will enormously contribute to the people we support, living a more comfortable, dignified, liberated and happy life.
- **Personal care** - supporting people to get ready for the day and assisting with bathing, showering and all aspects of personal care.
- **Mobility**:
- Supporting people to access the community in their vehicles, support with people moving, use of hoists, wheelchairs.
- **Supporting people to live independently** -support to do house work, organising appointments and recording, supporting with food preparation and cooking, household chores, maintaining tenancy, reporting repairs etc.
- **Excellent communication skills/relationship building** - supporting people to understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships.
- **Community & Social Inclusion**:
- Supporting individuals to access and participate in their local community and Social events to promote life skills and individuality.
- Supporting people with health appointments & medication.
- Supporting people to manage their finances and record.
**What we are looking for**:
- We need you to be reliable, trustworthy, punctual, honest.
- You need to be fun and have a positive can do attitude, we all have lots of activities and these can be early morning or very late. We like to go out to the pubs and sometimes a big night out, gigs, football games, meals out, to play pool / snooker, shopping, activities in the community.
- We see our families often this is important to us.
- You need to be a confident driver as our vehicles are on the large side.
