NHS Supply Chain are recruiting for a Treasury Cash Associate.

Reporting to the Treasury Cash Manager, the Treasury Cash Associate will be a key member of the Finance Team, ensuring payments are made and receipts are allocated, reconciling bank statements, as well as reporting on the actual cash position and helping with cash forecasts.

**Responsibilities**

***

**Daily Duties**:
Support in payment administration, seeking relevant approvals in accordance with the Scheme of Delegation as necessary

Cash allocation within the finance system, producing appropriate reconciliations

Helping to prepare cash forecasts to support the provision of the working capital facility and for SCCL internal reporting.

Assisting with building strong cash forecasting models, with embedded reconciliations built in, to ensure robust accurate forecasts.

Monitoring of actual cash position vs the forecast to measure forecast accuracy and implementing improvements to drive greater accuracy.

Driving improvements in the end to end process by identifying root causes of forecast inaccuracies and taking these back to the business to drive resolution.

Administering access to the banking systems and ensuring Segregation of Duties in the operation of banking processes.

Providing support to the cash manager and wider finance team as required

Completion of weekly and monthly bank reconciliations.

Daily upload of bank statements into APRO

To provide analysis on the cash position of SCCL to support decision making and risk management.

**Working Relationships**:
Maintain effective working relationships with the bank

Develop and maintain effective relationships both internally with the wider finance team, senior management and key stakeholders as well as externally with project and IT providers.

Liaise with relevant stakeholders at NHSEI and DHSC

Liaising with relevant stakeholders across the business to build robust cash forecasts

**What skills, qualifications and qualities do I need to be successful?**

Experience of cash forecasting.

Experience of working with businesses to understand the relationship between operational processes and cash flows to aid forecasting.

Experience of reporting

Experience managing banking relationships.

Intermediate Excel Skills essential (Pivot Tables, Lookup Formulas)

Oracle experience (Desirable)

**Qualifications**

Educated to Degree level (or equivalent qualification/experience) plus specialist experience

Qualification or equivalent experience demonstrating proficiency of MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Outlook).

**Capabilities & Behaviors**

Ability to frequently communicate at senior levels of an organisation and develop relationships with key senior external stakeholders

Ability to communicate highly complex information to senior audiences to aid decision making.

Ability to meet and enforce deadlines
