The UK Country Franchise Head is responsible for driving profitable Sales and Market Share growth for the Vision Care Business Unit. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is currently in a sales leadership position who has experience leading on a local & international level, has a background in marketing and who has delivered sales numbers whilst managing a P & L.

In this role, a typical day will involve:

- Building the Vision Care Franchise business based upon an approved strategic plan and annually approved budget.
- Ensuring excellence in Commercial Execution mastering Sales Force Effectiveness and KA negotiations.
- Spending time in the field interfacing with Alcon Sales Reps, Key Accounts and Key Independents.
- Coaching and development talent in the commercial organization.
- Collaborating with other enabling functions.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Adapting and executing the Franchise strategy in the market focusing on Commercial Execution.
- Adopting and integrating best practices from regional Franchise countries.
- Identifying unique country opportunities for strategic commercial innovation.
- Driving financial performance and P&L accountability.
- Driving growth against agreed strategic priorities.
- Managing P&L through pricing discipline and investment management.
- Delivering high quality management reporting and business reviews.
- Leading creation of local strategic and operational franchise planning.
- Engaging in regular regional franchise team meetings.
- Ensuring Go-To-Market (GTM) and sales execution support.
- Ensuring clear segmentation and targeting efforts are in place and monitored through CRM.
- Building impactful marketing plan leveraging regional plans and resources.
- Ensuring strategic pricing discipline to drive sustainable business gains.
- Building strong relationships and advocacy with key customers.
- Leading with integrity and ensures full compliance of BU against required internal SOPs.
- Leading BU on all people management issues, including selection and development processes.
- Delivering and ensuring quality of commercialization plan, timeliness, detail, insight, innovation.
- Ensuring effectiveness of field force by performing against product targets and key product objectives.
- Successfully launching the products achieving the set milestones and sales targets.
- Building a strong culture in the team by ensuring employee satisfaction/commitment.
- Ensuring high quality talent is attracted and retained.
- Providing cross-functional franchise alignment.
- Setting clear direction and align the team around common objectives.
- Energizing the team, developing team ownership and empowerment to achieve business goals, recognizes / rewards right behaviors, proactively builds team spirit and positive working relations.

What you’ll bring to Alcon:

- Preferred: Master’s degree in sales and marketing.
- Proven track record of delivering sales numbers and managing a P & L as a Business Unit Manager.
- Experience of achieving superior results and a passion to win.
- Setting & achieving stretched goals.
- Experience of proactively taking action to address current / future opportunities, demanding high performance, and holding people accountable.
- Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers.
- Ability to simplify complexity and communicate a vision in a clear and compelling manner.
- Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and decision-making skills.
- Confident, assertive, and self-assured showing honesty in all dealings.
- Proficiency in English language.
