**Trainee/Assistant Estimator - Yorkshire**

The role of a Trainee/Assistant Estimator would be to work alongside the estimating team to obtain understanding and knowledge of how estimates are prepared, documentation that forms a tender enquiry, how projects costs are built through to final tender submission. This role will be based in our Wakefieldoffice.

There will be opportunity to develop and progress within the business and become an integral part of the estimating team.

The main duties and responsibilities of the role include:

- Gain a full understanding of the tender process and tender documentation.
- Assist the Estimators to calculate and collate material, equipment and labour costs into the cost build up document.
- Liaising with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Preparing and submitting tender documents to meet required deadlines.
- Following up on tender submissions, monitoring and updating the tender index.
- A high level of IT proficiency, particularly within Microsoft Excel
- Excellent numerical skills
- Ability to work to a high degree of accuracy
- Strong communications skills
- Strong organisation and time management awareness
- Willingness to learn and an enthusiasm to develop and progress
