Our client, a highly innovative disruptor in the manufacturing and engineering sector based in Godalming, are seeking an Interim Finance Director to lead financial control, management reporting and commercial analysis across their UK group prior to the appointmentof a new CFO.

**The Role**

Reporting directly to the CEO and Director of Business Change the Interim Finance Director will be critical in ensuring the integrity of monthly/quarterly/annual reporting while driving greater partnering and budgetary responsibility/oversight with operationalteams. There is also a significant focus on cash management and improvement of processes in this area as the business experiences rapid growth.

Additionally, you will support wider business change within finance and be integral in recommending and then supporting the team to deliver implementation of new processes, controls and ERP systems, key duties will include:

- Work closely with senior management to build the FY23/24 budget across 3 core divisions
- Review preparation of management accounts and monthly/quarterly reporting and KPIs for board.
- Management of the finance team (c. 10 people), including indirect management of management/financial accounting, sales ledger, purchase ledger credit and collections.
- Lead cash forecasting and management of cash across the business, with a focus on suggesting new processes and procedures for this area.
- Assessing and implementing process improvements and new reporting across the finance function.
- Manage the completion of the statutory audit and gain approval of the annual statutory accounts in a timely manner
- Support ongoing implementation and upgrades of ERP system (ERP and operational business systems)
- Ensure compliance with all tax requirements
- Implement and maintain additional financial controls
- Build strong relationships with the broader operations and commercial teams including Engineering, Operations and Sales Directors and their direct teams.

**Your Profile**

The successful Interim Finance Director will be a formally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) finance leader and have post qualification experience alongside experience working in a varied role which encompasses the leadership and delivery of both financial controland commercial insight.

The successful Interim Finance Director will have a background in manufacturing or engineering businesses and will be able to demonstrate their effective leadership of diverse finance teams as well as detailed cash forecasting and cash management skills.

Experience working within a growing medium sized organisation is also highly beneficial as well as the confidence to push back on stakeholders when required.

**Salary & Benefits**

This Interim Finance Director role will pay £550-£650 per day. Parking is available on site and the role is required n office 4 days per week.
