**Vickerstock **are delighted to be working in partnership with our Red Meat Manufacturing client who are committed to maintaining the highest level of quality products on the appointment of** Quality Assistant** for their Armagh based site.

**What your day to day as Quality Assistant will look like**:

- Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, production processes, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Perform microbiological and chemical analyses on samples collected from different stages of production.
- Document and maintain accurate records of quality tests, inspections, and corrective actions taken.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and protocols.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and address quality issues in a timely manner.
- Participate in internal audits and support external audits by regulatory agencies or customers.
- Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality-related matters.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in production areas.
- Assist in investigating customer complaints and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to food safety and quality assurance.

**What you will need to succeed**:

- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a quality assurance role within the food industry is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Familiarity with HACCP principles and food safety management systems.
