**Home and Garden Customer Service Assistant**

We are looking for exceptional individuals to join our team working in our garden centre.

As a garden centre customer service assistant you will join garden centre team, providing excellent customer service in the garden centre with a range of knowledge on seasonal products. What prodcuts we sell. At this time of year our garden centre is bursting with trees, so you will need to be able to assist customers with their purchases and help them load into their vehicles. Trees are heavy so you will need to be able to lift them.

You will need to have flexibilty and be avaiable to work between the hours of 8am and 8pm and be able to work weekends when we are really busy.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Delivering excellent customer service in the garden centre, advising customers, making recommendations, and updating customers of any offers that day.
- Have excellent knowledge of the products we sell and how to take care of them
- Helping with display work
- liaise with managers, team leaders and team members when putting new/existing stock on display ensuring the displays are eye catching but also practical.
- Keep up excellent relations with suppliers when accepting and dealing with deliveries
- General housekeeping
- making sure all parts of the department are cleaned and tidied daily.
- Following the correct health and safety rules at all times.

**Requirements and core behaviours for this role**:

- Someone with a love of all things Christmas
- An enthusiastic individual with a cheerful outlook where nothing is too much trouble and has a huge passion for the products we sell
- Positive and polite communication skills with customers, anticipating their needs and making sure their experience is as good as it can be
- Making sure policies and procedures relating to process, product and people followed at all times.
- The ability to work excellently as part of a team with your colleagues.

- Home and Garden Manager and Team Leaders
