**Finance Manager - Scunthorpe -£55,000 - £65,000**Chase & Holland are excited to be working exclusively with a family orientated manufacturing business based in Scunthorpe who are seeking a hands on Finance Manager who is technically strong. This is a newly created role due to them experiencing a rapid periodof growth and one that will see you bringing the finance function in house from group. This role would suit a proactive ACA/ACCA Qualified Accountant, who is looking for a genuine opportunity to lead the financial accounting function for the UK, preparingaccurate and timely financial statements, reports, and advice to enable efficient and effective management decision making, and enhance commercial performance. You will work closely with the Factory Manager driving cultural change and performance in what isa very forward-thinking environment.

**Finance Manager Responsibilities**:

- Prepare all month and year end closing activities including general ledger maintenance and balance sheet reconciliations - providing complete and accurate financial information
- Accurate fixed asset register maintenance and produce monthly reconciliation and reports
- Complete stock management and reconciliation reporting
- Monthly review and analysis of financial results to identify trends, risks, opportunities and gaps
- Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements, management reports and capex, reporting to Senior Leadership Team
- Setting and monitoring performance to budget, delivering variance reports to Site Managers monthly and reporting in monthly meetings on actual versus operating plan performance and forecast
- Managing a small team including an Assistant Accountant ensuring effective transactional finance activities including AP, AR and Aged Debtor management are in line with company requirements
- Development of systems and processes with a 'continuous improvement’ approach
- Liaise with the wider business, from Senior Managers, Sales Managers and site-based staff and discuss the numbers
- Be the point of contact between group overseas head office and the operational team at site
- Prepare year end and audit pack for external auditors, being point of contact at site

**Required Skills & Experience**:

- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) who is technically strong
- A strong understanding of FMCG or manufacturing processes
- Ability to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the company both in the UK and internationally
- IT literate including strong Excel skills with proven ability in delivering insightful reporting
- A positive and 'can do’ attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- This role would also suit someone looking for a first or second move from practice into industry
