A key member of the central commercial finance team, leading on performance challenge, planning and forecasting for the commercial finance division. This role brings it all together, ensuring inputs from across the division are consistent and well-integrated before we submit to FP&A, and provides challenge to help maximise stretch and ambition in our plans.

From weekly pulse reporting through to annual finance review documents, this role works closely with the commercial finance leadership team members to ensure commercial finance tells an accurate and consistent story. Building key relationships with the FP&A Director and Heads of Finance, the role also ensures commercial finance requirements are reflected in group wide FP&A processes.

**What you need to do**
- Lead production and ongoing improvement of insightful weekly pulse reporting, taking inputs from Food and GM trading finance teams to produce an integrated finance pack to drive the performance conversation for senior leaders
- Own the trading statement quarterly external reporting of sales growth, ensuring we accurately report Corporate sales with aligned approach across Food and GM
- Work closely with Food and GM trading finance teams to take on support of any central activities not driven by Food or GM commercial teams
- Lead the period end process for commercial finance, agreeing timelines with FP&A, ensuring assumptions are aligned across different teams, and challenging explanations or assumptions for the actuals or latest view where necessary
- Support the Commercial Finance Director in preparing for commercial review meetings with the CFO
- Lead Budget, Corporate Plan and IFR processes for commercial finance, liaising with FP&A to ensure commercial finance requirements are met in the process and timelines
- Develop strong relationships with commercial finance leadership team members, becoming a key figure in the division, aware of key assumptions and how to influence them
- Lead, develop and motivate members of the team to high performance through great coaching and communication, review of work, suggesting areas for improvement and sharing expertise
- Liaison with internal and external Audit teams as required
- Perform a high standard of ad hoc analysis supporting the Director of Finance - Central Commercial, Commercial Finance Director and CFO
