**Main purpose of the role**
- To create and run exciting student recruitment programmes, liaising with schools/colleges/careers advisors to engage potential students.
- To lead a dynamic recruitment team to connect with stakeholders both inside and outside the College.
- To oversee communication and engagement with school, college and other stakeholders for recruitment for all college campuses
- To ensure local delivery of marketing, event and internal communications support across all sites through self and the Student Recruitment Assistant
- To contribute to the development of marketing campaigns for careers’ leads/influencers and relevant school-based curriculum links in conjunction with the Student Recruitment and Applications Manager and the Marketing and Development Manager
- To coordinate the college and university centre open events both in person and digitally, communicating clear event plans and feedback to curriculum, support and senior leadership teams
- To work closely with current students through the Student Ambassador Scheme, assisting the Student Recruitment Assistant to recruit, train and supervise a team of Student Ambassadors across the York and Middlesbrough campuses

**Key Tasks / Responsibilities**:
All tasks to be carried out in a consistent manner with the corporation’s culture.

Working with the Student Recruitment and Applications Manager to;
- Maintain and extend a network of contact with key influencers, including schools, colleges, and careers’ leads/referral agencies
- Contribute to the development of marketing campaigns for careers’ leads/influencers, and relevant school-based curriculum links including informative events/communications for key stakeholders aimed at maintaining their knowledge of the college and its provision
- Support the development and delivery of a programme of tailored activities aimed at improving student recruitment opportunities
- Contribute to marketing and student recruitment action plans to support student recruitment and internal progression
- Implement the local marketing and promotional activity for all sites, including local event management, and liaising with campus staff to generate news stories, assist with photo calls, collate content for marketing literature, and generate and distribute social media content
- Taking the lead in the planning, co-ordinating and promoting of open days, information evenings, taster sessions, workshops, shows, events and enrolment activities.
- Support the recruitment, training, supervising and evaluation of Student Ambassadors, creating clear briefs for their involvement with events and campaigns and supporting their professional development.
- To regularly feed market information to the Communication Directorate to inform decision making and future planning
- To coordinate and chair of regular Student Recruitment Team meetings and attend other relevant meetings both internally and externally
- To assist the SRAM in HR matters including the recruitment of new staff, co-ordination of holidays across the Student Recruitment and Enquiries Team, and sickness records / cover rotas, supported by the SRAM
