We are currently recruiting for an Apprentice Electrician to join our passionate and driven team based at our client’s site in Scotland.

The work of an Electrician is varied and can include the following:

- Installing and maintaining cables, wiring, conduits, fitments, meters, switchgear and other electrical equipment
- Using a variety of hand and power tools to measure, cut, join and fit cabling, wiring and equipment of various types
- Reading plans and technical drawings and working from them on large projects
- Installing the wiring and electrical components in complex electrical and electronic equipment
- Testing installations to make sure that they are effective and completely safe, diagnosing and repairing faults in installations and electrical equipment

As a site-based apprentice, you will:

- Train at one of the top-performing colleges or training providers in the country
- Work indoors, outdoors and occasionally at a height
- Be prepared for early starts and travel away from home when necessary

**About You**:

- **_ Applicants must have the right to work in the UK_**:

- Install electrical services (e.g. wiring systems, lighting, sockets, fire alarms, emergency lighting & heating controls)
- Read and understand engineering drawings, wiring and circuit diagrams
- Inspect and test electrical installations
- Diagnose and rectify faults on a range of circuits and equipment
- Use small hand tools such as hammers, saws, screwdrivers etc
- Operate electrical tools such as chop saws, grinders, combi drills, impact drivers etc
- Install the systems needed for wiring and cables such as brackets and containment
- Lay, pull and string cables
