Our client is a very sociable family man in his mid 60’s, with a great sense of humour. His wife, family and cats are all very important to him and he really enjoys a chat and a cup of tea, along with social interaction, including attending quiz nights at his local pub and Headway (the local Brain Injury Association). Our client also enjoys his physiotherapy and hydrotherapy.

Due to an injury at work, our client has sustained an acquired brain injury and has no or weak movement on his left side with loss of sensation. He requires assistance with all tasks, which includes personal care, washing and dressing as well as transfers. He also requires assistance due to visual problems. He walks with the aid of a stick or walking frame, with the assistance of a Support Worker, and other times he will need to be pushed in his manual wheelchair.

You will work alongside his wife and be part of a small care team to maximise our client’s engagement and independence in all areas of his self-care. He requires assistance to ensure he stays safe during activities both inside the home and within the community.

This job will suit someone who is calm but very proactive and able to bring lots of enthusiasm to the role. It is a wonderful opportunity to join a supportive family and care team where you can make a real difference to our client's life by maximising his opportunities and promoting his independence wherever possible.

**Pay and Benefits**:
£13 per hour weekdays, £14 per hour weekends and bank holidays

- Must be able to work with specialist equipment (training will be provided). A Handling Management Plan is available and is designed to reduce the risk of handling injuries, but you may be required to bend, kneel, squat, push or pull.
