£10.60 per hour, temporary 2 year post, 37 hours plus enhancements for weekends

**We are currently recruiting **

A **Library Apprentice **to work at **Clitheroe Library. **This is a temporary 2 year role, and you will work an average of 37 hours per week which will include some evenings and weekends, over a two-week rota (see attached rota)

**Your new role **

We are looking for an **enthusiastic **, **customer focussed **and **digitally savvy **individual to work within our team. Our ideal person will be **welcoming **and **friendly **, have a **love for reading **and be passionate about sharing this. You will have **excellent communication and digital skills **, be able to work with **a range of partners and volunteers **and be able to deliver a **customer focused service **.

Apprentices will have the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge about the Library Service and receive appropriate training and support to assist in the provision of an efficient and effective library service. You will work towards gaining the work-based in Library, information and archive services assistant / Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education in a timely manner.

Sometimes, you will need to work at other locations and the role may involve some lone working.
