As part of a specialist team, work closely with clients to provide Environmental Management, Sustainability, Climate Resilience and Net Zero advice and skills to enable improved sustainability outcomes of UK MOD equipment and services through their lifecycle.

This Environmental Adviser role encompasses the provision of environmental and sustainability-related advice and the delivery of documentation or artefacts in support of projects to our clients. Support to projects will range extensively from sustainable procurement and environmental management advice on new defence procurements, assessment and mitigation of already in-service equipment and disposal support.

**The role**:
Within the business, there will be opportunities to provide expertise on development of new QinetiQ products, to develop the sustainability appraisal requirements of QinetiQ trials at UK ranges and working with internal teams to advance our own Net Zero targets.

The successful Environmental Adviser may need to travel within the UK to meet customer and internal business needs, including to remote sites, as well as adapting to different customer cultures.

**Day-to-day, you’ll**:
As part of a team, work with internal and external stakeholders to develop specified Environmental Management and Sustainability solutions and artefacts. Ensure they meet the project’s outlined requirements and standards as per QinetiQ policy.

Ensure that work tasks are delivered to the specified time, cost, required quality standards and any other specifications given.

Support the development of new and nurture existing business relationships both internally and externally.

Attend and support workshops with customers with the intention of leading workshops as you progress.

Work with the QinetiQ teams and Subject Matter Experts, some of which will be geographically dispersed.

**Essential experience of the Environmental Adviser**:
You will need an understanding of general Environmental Management Systems, based on ISO14001.

Understanding of Sustainability concepts and knowledge of Sustainable Development Goals.

**Qualifications for the Environmental Adviser**:
