Paint Shop Operative

Due to our continued growth, DtEC Material Handling are relocating to Lye, Stourbridge and we are looking for reliable and proactive person to join our team.

The new facility will have a purpose-built paint shop. The right person must be capable of preparing and painting steel skips that have been fabricated on our premises.

Preparation operations include rubbing down, linishing and cleaning welded tipping skips. Painting is done to a high standard using various colours before being passed through to our QA department and then to dispatch.

Experience with our “Air Assisted Airless Paint Spraying” system is an advantage but not essential, as training will be given.

As with all roles at DtEC, we look for someone who produces a product of quality and has a good level of detail.

**Duties include**:

- Liaising with staff at all levels
- Positive, proactive working ethic
- Being accountable for the work you produce
- Always focusing on best practice
- Adhering to all aspects of Health and Safety

**Skills required**:

- Experienced with prepping steel fabrications and be familiar with angle grinding and linishing machines
- Experienced with “air assisted airless paint spraying systems” would be an advantage
- Be physically fit
- Able to communicate with co-workers
- Health and Safety/environmental awareness
- Willingness to learn and use specialized tools and equipment
- Desire to work with our staff and accommodate requests
- Being able to resolve problems efficiently
- Being focused and self-motivated
- Physically capable of handling heavy components and equipment
- Time management and organization.
- Ideally, but not essential have a valid driving licence
