**Management Account**
**Responsible for**:
Leading and developing the finance team to adhere to key SLA's and KPI's
Ensure all reporting timetables are met and accounting procedures maintained
Monthly management accounts, P&L, balance sheet and weekly cash flow
Process and manage payroll for all staff
Review and reconcile all balance sheet account
Accruals and prepayments
Produce Credit checks on potential new customers.
Assist with daily payments approvals
Manage debtors and Creditors
Preparation and submission of VAT returns
Prepare analysis of sales and margins and provide insightful commentary and follow up actions
Managing key relationships with key management colleagues, understanding needs, and agreeing service level agreements

- Budget to Actual Variances
- Days to Complete Monthly Close
- Days to Complete Annual Close
- Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)
- Best Possible Days Sales Outstanding (BPDSO)
- Average Days Delinquent (ADD)
- **Days Payable Outstanding (DPO)**:
- Bad Debt to Sales Ratio
**Key Tasks**
- Optimising the use of the resources available to achieve the plan.
- Setting goals and objectives for your department.
- Supporting "One MTM" culture
- Motivating employees.
- Ensuring that employees are trained to a level of competency to ensure high levels of quality and output
- Ensuring appraisals are carried out at least once every year and that training plans agreed are implemented
- Gather and analyse financial information for internal use
- Prepare budget and funding with support from the MD
- Maintain the asset register
- Collate and circulate daily invoice figures
- Collate and circulate invoice sales by customer
- Assist the company in managing its investment portfolio
- Assume responsibility for accounting procedures
- Evaluate the company's performance using key data
- Make forecasts to assist business planning and decision-making
- Conduct risk assessment and advise on ways to minimize risk (profit leaks, cost reductions, credit, debts etc)
- Advise on problems and suggest improvements
- Encouraging a culture of continuous improvement
- Supporting and managing change
- Maintaining a record of holidays for the accounts team and ensuring that there is sufficient cover to achieve the plan
- Ensuring that Standard Operating Procedures which reflect best practice are readily available in the work area
- Participation in Management Meetings
- R&D Tax relief calculations
- Any other reasonable request made by the MD
**Start Date TBC (**January)
**Salary**:Upto £45,000 per annum (pending experience)
**Working Hours**:Mon
- Fri 9am-5pm
**Duration**: Temp to perm
