**Finance Administration Assistant**

**Purpose of role**:To ensure all duties and responsibilities are carried out competently to assist with business and site requirements.**

**Reports to: Finance Manager**
**Location**:UK Based, Islip Depot**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To support the finance administration function effectively and efficiently in accordance with established company policies and internal control procedures
- Understand and comply with all relevant company rules, agreements, policies, procedures and with all relevant legislative requirements and codes of practice.
- Provide a high level of service that contributes to the overall business and site performance
- Using financial systems to raise and receipt purchase orders, maintain invoice matching control to ensure accurate capture of operational costs in the relevant financial periods
- Provide other administration, petty cash, expenses, training, stationary, uniform and filing tasks as required
- To input and maintain all finance information in a timely manner to meet deadlines
- To maintain the auditability and traceability of all financial information
- Encourage a safety culture whereby each colleague operates with safety as the primary concern
- To ensure all relevant company environmental policies and procedures are adhered to.
- To ensure the efficient and effective achievement of all personal targets and key performance indicators
- Produce timely and accurate management information reports regarding the performance of the operation using relevant systems as required by central functions and/or site management
- Ensure a good standard of housekeeping through observance of relevant Company policies and ensure that work areas are secure and locked when unoccupied.
- Ensure Company business is treated in the strictest confidence and not disclosed to persons outside the Company.

**Additional Responsibilities**:

- To support to the Finance Manager where required with cover for responsibilities such as Financial Reporting, attending weekly team meetings.
- Assist with producing period finance packs for reviews with senior management

**Essential knowledge, skills and experience**:

- Ability to communicate with others both verbally and written
- Ability to work under pressure
- Able to work in a team and on own initiative
- Good decision maker
- Ability to problem solve
- Knowledge of a fast moving retail warehouse
- Experience of utilising and interrogating financial systems
- Experience of working in a financial/administrative role
- Experience using Microsoft office programmes such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint etc.
