**Full Time, Permanent , Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week**

**Salary up to £48,000 per annum, plus, company van & fuel card**

**About the Role:
As a Compliance Manager within our Cambridge branch, your main duties will be to ensure compliance with UK regulatory requirements and internal policies are always met for specific named contracts. The role is to guarantee the contract remains compliant from maintenance perspective, so we are able to plan in maintenance assets, assess the lifecycle of those assets when may require replacement, Plan, access and manage the assets and looking for new initiatives to see if asset product can be more economical.
- To manage the Compliance Risk Register ensuring compliance at all times.
- To periodically conduct audits and reviews to ensure execution of compliance standards and provide assistance to internal or external auditors in compliance reviews as required
- Keep up to date with, and understand, relevant laws, regulations and internal policies and procedures.
- Compile meaningful periodic reports on current risk and compliance performance.
- Contribute to robust and effective compliance controls within the organisation, including the monitoring of the compliance systems to ensure process effectiveness.
- Investigate irregularities and non-compliance issues, highlighting and escalating areas of concern as appropriate.
- Consult with the relevant legal teams within Mears on Compliance matters.
- To attend client meetings as required.
- To act at all times in accordance with Mears Group Policies, Processes and Systems
- Compliance with ISO9001, 14001 and 18001 at all times.
- Support and participate in the continuous improvement of the Compliance function, including training.

**Role Criteria:
- Experience in managing compliance in commercial and domestic properties
- Competent in understanding permit to work processes management experience
- Experience with facilities management systems
- Understand and demonstrate UK legislation
- Must hold a full UK driving license
- Be a great team player as well as ability to work on your own initiative.
- Excellent communication and Customer service skills
- IOSH management and health and safety knowledge would be preferred but not essential
- Knowledge and understanding of KPI’s would be preferred but not essential
