OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:
MAIN DUTIES:

- To support the Revenue Manager with the running and day to day management of the Reservations Team in conjunction with forecasted demands and specific marketing activities.
- To adhere to selling strategies defined by the Revenue Manager.
- To ensure that the information on third party websites is accurate at all times.
- To prepare and distribute department rota.
- To training and develop the Reservationists.
- To assist guests with reservations and make the necessary bookings.
- To be customer focused at all times and ensure all communications with guests are efficient, effective and courteous.
- To communicate all relevant information on guests to Operational staff.
This list of duties is not exhaustive and additional duties may be required within reason for the better fulfilment of the role and the needs of the business.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- To complete all Health & Safety and Job Skills training as required.
- To work in accordance with company Health & Safety guidelines especially in relation to Hazard and Accident.
- To be responsible for your own health and safety and that of your colleagues, in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) and relevant EC directives.
- To provide a healthy and comfortable working environment, smoking is prohibited throughout the Hotel.
- To undertake any training/coaching required by the Company to enable you to perform your duties effectively.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:

- Must be able to organise own workload and prioritise activities.
- Previous experience in a customer service or hotel role would be advantageous.
- Experience in a previous reservations role is desirable but not essential.
- Must be able to work on own initiative.
- Must be highly motivated with an enthusiastic approach to work.
- Must have excellent oral and telephone skills.
- Must be of smart appearance with excellent personal hygiene standards.
