**What exactly will you be doing?**

As the Head of People Support Services, you will lead all operational facets of the people team, overseeing policy, processes, systems, data and reporting. You will build, motivate and develop a high-performing team to deliver an exceptional employee experience, collaborating across AAT to upskill managers through continuous development. Furthermore, you will manage the delivery of the entire employee lifecycle, giving life to our diversity and inclusion, ESG and People strategies, whilst conducting annual salary reviews and presenting competitive recommendations. Taking ownership of people policies and procedures, you will lead a team to ensure robustness, compliance with legislation, and provide expert guidance to senior managers on people-related matters, including managing complex employee relations cases.

**Major objectives**

The key objectives for the role are:

- Lead and develop the people services team to deliver a seamless and inclusive employee experience, embedding strategies related to diversity, rewards, engagement and development.
- Oversee all operational aspects of the people team, including policy, processes, systems, data, and reporting, ensuring compliance with policies and legislation.
- Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle, from recruitment to exit, with a focus on diversity and inclusion.
- Collaborate with senior managers to provide support and advice on people-related matters, resolving complex employee relations cases.
- Drive culture change programmes and ensure the team's continuous development to upskill people leaders across the organisation.
- Work in partnership with the People Services team and AAT’s portfolios, enabling them to optimise their time and effort and supporting them to undertake their people management responsibilities

**What are we looking for?**
- Experienced leader with a proven track record in leading and developing high-performing people teams, delivering efficient processes and managing key relationships.
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices is essential.
- Strong project management and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication and writing skills to craft clear policies, reports, presentations for senior leadership and organisation-wide messaging.
- MCIPD qualified or equivalent experience is essential.
