**Job Summary**

The core role of the Quality Assurance Assistant is to conduct inspections at all stages of production ensuring compliance to BRC. To ensure that customer product quality is maximised. All certifications are maintained to an acceptable level and to facilitate awareness of QA principles throughout the workforce.

**How You'll Contribute**:

- Act as a point of contact for production operations in regard to quality matters.
- Promoting and enforcing good quality practises and hygiene standards.
- Conduct quality inspection rounds during the designated shifts including random product sampling.
- Recording and storage of production samples.
- Conduct where appropriate, testing of materials and goods.
- Conduct where appropriate, calibration and verification of equipment.
- Assess raw material issues and manage supplier claims in a timely manner.
- Conduct internal audits to BRC and any other required audits.
- Conduct hygiene and housekeeping audits.
- Conduct glass and brittle materials audits.
- Respond to internal and external communications in a timely manner, liaising with relevant departments to ensure responses are technically accurate.
- Maintain quality department files and records.
- Support the QA Manager with training and developing the workforce ethos in regard to BRC and GMP Standards.
- Conduct various tasks in accordance with BRC.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Quality Manager.

**Role Requirements**:

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral.
- Good understanding of BRC GS Packaging Materials standard.
- Ability to prioritise own workload and work to deadlines.
- Worked in a manufacturing environment or similar.
- Previous experience of carrying out audits.
