NUPAS are recruiting for a full-time permanent Quality Assurance Clinical Lead to join their Quality and Safety team. Working 37.5 hours per week across 5 days this role is remote based however travel to clinical locations is essential when required as part of the role. We have an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking, dynamic and proactive professional with a passion for patient safety, quality, and assurance to join our corporate quality team in this newly created role of Quality Assurance Clinical Lead. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring high quality, safe and effective care is provided within NUPAS services and support both quality and clinical audit functions across NUPAS.

The post holder will support and be responsible to the Head of Quality and Safety whilst also supporting the Clinical Director. Work with the Clinical Director, Head of Nursing and Head of Quality and safety to lead and develop a clinical quality assurance process to include peer audit. To undertake annual infection prevention environmental audits at all NUPAS locations Implement and support NUPAS staff with clinical and non-clinical incident investigations and implementation of action plans. Prepare audit and incident management reports for governance meetings.

Assist in the development and implementation of guidelines, protocols and remote services policies and procedures. Ensure that resources are used effectively, efficiently, and appropriately. Provide good leadership and promote a positive working culture within the team and NUPAS. To work in collaboration with other Clinical staff and managers as appropriate. Act as a professional role model for the team. Investigate any concerns or complaints that are raised, utilising a just culture approach.

Ensure that any learning is shared within the team. Support with the management of medical devices, to include procurement, training, monitoring and education. Ensure compliance with statutory and mandatory training requirements and ensure that all Remote services staff across the region comply with the requirements. Provide induction, training and support to new staff and ensure that their development needs are appropriately met.

Manage issues and concerns regarding staff performance and conduct in line with NUPAS policies and procedures. Undertake clinical supervision. Engage in your own clinical supervision for professional development. To provide written and verbal reports accurately and to a high standard.

To manage own workload effectively in line with NUPAS visions and values. Adopt an open and honest approach to raising concerns and manage in line with NUPAS policy. To participate in clinical meetings and ensure seamless communication organisationally relating to remote services. To undertake any other tasks which are commensurate with the level and responsibilities of the post.
