**Work type: This is initially a temporary 12 x months position, working on an annualised shift based contract within a pattern of rotating 12-hour day and night shifts.**

**We have an exciting opportunity for a Central Product Optimiser to join the Central Control team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?**

**Where you fit in**:
You will provide a proactive and reactive telemetry management function along with technical support to Water Production teams that ensures the company meets and exceeds its targets and critical business performance measures around Water Quality CRI, ERI & KPI measures, Water Treatment Facility operability and stability.

You will deliver world class operational excellence across Water Treatment assets in pursuit of health and safety excellence; regulatory compliance; zero customer impact; operational efficiency and business plan out performance.

**As our Central Product Optimiser you will -**
- Work as a member of a 247-control room shift team with a focus on teamwork and resilience.
- Optimise assets, systems, processes, and procedures in line with continuous improvement in Water Treatment and Water Quality performance and protection of public health at all times.
- Provide an expert advisory service in respect of both technical and regulatory aspect for Water Production and Water Quality.
- Work as part of the Control Room 247 shift team to deliver excellent performance by understanding how own
- performance links into achieving the team’s, departments and companies’ wider objectives.
- Drive excellent standards and performance in health and safety, risk management and control of work and
- ensure compliance with the Yorkshire Water Safety Policy.

**What skills & qualifications you will need**:

- Previous experience of Health and Safety management processes and systems
- Excellent communicator, able to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
- Technical understanding of Production & Water Quality processes and the desire the develop technical skills further
- Influencing and negotiation skills
- Rigorous attention to detail to ensure ‘right first time’ performance
- Excellent IT skills as you will use a range of IT systems in the role
- Analytical skills and the ability to fault find processes and systems.
- Ability to handle large amounts of data and to spot potential risks to compliance.
- An aptitude to use route cause methodology in the understanding of Water Quality events or failures and
- implementing steps or processes to prevent reoccurrence.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Demonstrates financial awareness when making day to day business decisions.
