Gill Transport is currently seeking a Transport Administrator who can thrive within a dynamic and fast-paced environment while actively contributing to the company's business performance. This role will involve providing essential support to the senior leadership team by overseeing the seamless and efficient operation of various business aspects.

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for planning and optimising transportation routes to minimise costs, reduce travel time, and ensure timely deliveries.

2. Oversee the management of the organisation's vehicle fleet, including scheduling maintenance, repairs, and inspections. Ensuring that vehicles are in good condition and compliant with regulations is crucial for safe and efficient operations.

3. Create and manage schedules for drivers, ensuring that all transportation tasks are assigned appropriately. This involves coordinating pickup and delivery times, managing driver shifts, and addressing any scheduling conflicts.

4. Recruit, train, and manage drivers, ensuring they have the necessary licenses, training, and qualifications..

5. Maintaining accurate records for compliance and accountability. Handle documentation related to shipments, vehicle maintenance, driver logs, fuel consumption, and other relevant records.

6. Must stay updated on transportation regulations and ensure that our operations adhere to legal requirements, such as safety standards, weight restrictions, and hours of service for drivers.

7. Liaise with drivers, warehouse staff, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth and timely transportation operations.

8. Interact with customers to provide information on invoices, delivery schedules, address concerns, and ensure a positive customer experience.

9. In case of accidents, breakdowns, or other emergencies, coordinate appropriate responses, such as arranging for roadside assistance, alternative transportation, or contingency plans.

- Minimum experience of 2 years in Transport Industry
- Bachelors/Master degree
- The ability to work under pressure.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills.
- Excellent management skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Be flexible and be able to work weekend and evening shift

**Salary**: £25000 -27000 per annum

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
