We are looking for a competent and professional Ward Clerk/Receptionist on Davy unit (Chemotherapy OPD) Cannock Hosptial site at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. This post is to support the chairs managed by the oncology/haematology Directorates for chemotherapy and supportive treatments. This is a permanent post.

The post holder is required to possess and excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as a positive approach to working in a team.

We are looking for someone with a pleasant, adaptable disposition who can remain calm under pressure and deal with a busy workload confidentially, efficiently and effectively.

To provide an efficient, courteous and helpful reception service to Patients, their families and other Professionals when they contact the Ward/Clinic.

To undertake various clerical duties associated with the custody and use of Health Records. This will include all administrative procedures and documentation associated with a patient’s journey through the Cancer Directorate.

It is expected that the post holder will undertake clerical duties relating to any aspect of the service

It is expected that the post holder will be able to demonstrate a significant level of initiative in organising their workload and in taking decisions and action within clearly defined limits. The post holder will also ensure the requirements of role are done in a timely manner.

To ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.
