An exciting opportunity for a lecturer to join the academic team at UCLan’s School of Medicine has become available. The primary role of the post holder will be to join the Physician Associate (PA) teaching team at the School to facilitate this training need. With increasing demands for PAs to join the expanding NHS work force, there is a need for staff to assist in the delivery and development of these courses.

You will have a a relevant postgraduate qualification, for example PGDip/MSc/PhD in a relevant area and be registered with GMC, FPA or other regulatory body as appropriate or qualifcation which would allow registration before commencing emploment. Applicants will have an avid interest in evidence based healthcare and a recognised teaching qualification or willingness to undertake such on appointment is desirable. Experience working with and/or teaching healthcare professionals is desirable. You must have a flexible and innovative approach to teaching and learning and be able to work within a team, and individually. You must possess excellent communication and presentation skills and have good planning and team working abilities as well as the ability to deliver a high quality educational experience for students.
