A Children’s Community Support Worker (for children and Young People aged 11-25-year-olds).
Driver and access to a car is essential.
Experience of working with young people, complex needs and learning disabilities would be desirable however is not necessary as full training is provided.

- **What we do**:
We provide support to children and Young People between the ages of 11 - 25 years of age who have an Education Health and Education Plan (EHCP). The young people we support present with learning difficulties, complex emotional and behavioural needs.
The support we provide offers families some respite by providing a sit in service in the family home, escorting the young person into the community for walks, to the gym, to the park, the cinema, swimming, the library and many other such activities of the young person’s choice.
Each Child or Young Person has 4 Hours each week over a period of the agreed support.
Axion Social care is also a provider of semi
- independent accommodation for young people aged 16+ to develop their independence skills, such as cooking, budgeting, support to attend appointments, access to community activities, support to access benefits and housing.
- **About you**:
Someone who enjoys working with children and young people and being a good role model.
Interested in working on a full time or part time basis.
Someone who is enthusiastic, have excellent record keeping skills and able to work on their own and as part of a team.
- **What will be expected of you**:
- To work in accordance with the care plan and risk assessment put into place for each child or young person.
- To exercise patience and encourage service users to participate in their planned activities.
- Maintaining Individuals dignity and practicing confidentially
- To administer medication if required
- To follow company procedures
- To keep accurate records of the work you do.
- To comply with the Safeguarding Children and Adults policies in place
- To follow procedures in place to record and report any concerns to management.
- To provide personal care when this is required.
- To work respectfully with families and ability to maintain positive relationships.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract, Zero hours contract
Pay: £11.00-£14.60 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
