**What’s it like to work in Pharmacy Supply**

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Pharmacy Supply Team for an Assistant Supply Manager to work in a team that owns the relationship and works collaboratively with the key suppliers of our pharmacy stock.
- You will work closely with these suppliers, in particular Alliance Healthcare who are the biggest supplier into Boots, developing the relationship and working on a number of initiatives to support stores on a day to day basis whilst also focusing on projects that will be delivered in the short to medium term.
- One of the key projects will be to develop robust ways of working with Alliance Healthcare to support the implementation of the new replenishment system - Columbus Stock+. This will be a significant step change in the way that stock is ordered into our pharmacies.
- The Pharmacy Supply Team sits within Pharmacy Operations, our focus being to ensure stock is supplied to stores with the highest service level to meet the demand of our customers whilst doing this at the lowest possible cost of stock.
- You will also work alongside a number of internal stakeholders to support pharmacy projects/initiatives to ensure they are implemented successfully, supporting from a stock perspective.

- Collaboratively working with Alliance Healthcare, Pheonix Medical, United Drug Sangers and group buying teams to review, challenge and work to improve service levels to Boots pharmacy through regular meetings and conference calls.
- Acting as the single point of contact between Boots and Suppliers to ensure key actions are project managed to agreed timescales.
- Analysis of trends / information from suppliers to improve service and deal with any store escalations, implementing any process changes where necessary.
- Work closely with Alliance Healthcare to ensure strong ways of working are in place to support the implementation of Columbus by facilitating good communication flows, report sharing and design.
- Support business as usual pharmacy supply queries where necessary as part of the wider pharmacy supply team.
- Ensure continuity of supply through delivery disruptions on Ethical Stocks - working with AHDL to ensure any issues are addressed.

What we’re looking for
- Project management / supplier management experience
- Ability to work both as a team and as an individually
- Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels internally and externally to Boots.
- A positive and can do attitude
- Must be motivated with good investigative skills with a strong concern for order and quality.
- A good knowledge of Microsoft Excel (using V-lookups and pivots tables), Word and Powerpoint would be an advantage
- A background in Pharmacy and/or Supply would be beneficial
